Luisa Miraglia has more than 15 years’ experience practicing as a neonatal and paediatric osteopath. She graduated from the Italian College of Osteopathy in Bologna (2009) and completed a Masters in Paediatric Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children, Italy (OCC) (2019)]. She is presently a member of the Italian Register of Osteopaths, the founder of a multidisciplinary paediatric clinic - Studio Osteopatico La Maree - in Modena, Italy, and her paediatric osteopathy website Osteopatia Pediatrica.
Luisa has pursued further training in Europe and the United States, engaging in courses and clinical rotations collaborating with recognised leaders in the paediatric osteopathy field, including Viola Frymann, Jane Carreiro, Hollis King, Stuart Korth, Susan Turner and Nicette Sergueff, among others. She has also studied in the field of children with special needs - focusing on neurodevelopmental disorders, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
Her teaching experience in extensive, having worked as a teacher and clinical tutor at the OCC, as a paediatric osteopathy instructor at the OSCE school, as educational director and teacher for the Master's degree program in Paediatric Osteopathy at the Fulcro School of Osteopathy (Treviso), and serving as vice president of the Italian Osteopathy Association.
Driven by her compassionate ethos, Luisa extends her expertise to the most vulnerable populations by volunteering with Osteopathy Without Borders in Peru in 2014, in India in 2017, and with Ostéopathes et Enfants du Monde (France) in 2018. Since 2016, she has collaborated with the Hands with Hearts Foundation, organizing educational programs for volunteers and conducting training courses in the disability field. She has also served as a tutor in Bali, Costa Rica, and Romania.
